How a Typo Helped Those in Need

December 24, 2015

What do you do with 300 custom-imprinted blankets that have a typo?  The Village at Rockville—A National Lutheran Community (TVAR) was in that predicament earlier this week.  Rather than letting the warm fleece blankets go to waste because of a printing typo, several staff members took the blankets to be donated to Interfaith Works in Rockville, Md.

On Monday, Dec. 21, staff members Alan Bangnam, Victoria Blakemore and Robert Forbes delivered the 300 blankets to Adriana Pulido at Interfaith Works.  The blankets will help keep needy individuals warm this holiday season.

“This was a very humbling and fulfilling experience to be able to donate these blankets,” TVAR’s Talent & Culture Director Victoria Blakemore said. “Our staff are thrilled that these blankets are being put to good use helping others this holiday season.”
