1. Review the federal requirements and state regulations governing the PASRR process
2. Identify how the PASSR can assist in the assessment of residents and their ability for discharge back to the community

Objectives: Participants will:
1. Identify risk factors, triggers, and effects of stroke.2. Describe the psychosocial and functional impacts of stroke on survivors including changes in lifestyle, independence and ability to manage daily responsibilities. 3. Recognize common emotional responses to stroke including fear, grief and adjustment to disability.
